From
the Course Director's Desk....
Harmonious relationships with people m our daily life should be given prime importance since our external transactions will decide our internal happiness. Normally, we expect many things from others but we fail to realise others’ expectations from us. How we behave with others is more important to analyse before finding fault in others’ behaviour. The mental personality is far more important than physical personality. The way one thinks, talks, walks, acts and reacts is very important. |
Every
individual is unique in this world and is created with a speicfic purpose
by the creator. One must be able to feel that one’s uniqueness in this world
and there is no point comparing oneself with others for whatever reason. But
the whole world may evaluate a person by this comparative method and we
should not succumb to this evaluation.Every person is having the potential
to reach the divine qualities as explained by Swami Vivekananda, and one
should look inwards to reach that high potential. All the five sensors should
be utilised fully to know the world. To reach the top ofthe inner world, all
these five sensors should be switched off. The real happiness which we
are looking for is within ourselves. If we are not happy,if we are not successful,if
we are deprived of basic necessities, do not blame others but blame ourselves. This
concept should be taught to the children at a young age to take responsibilities
for their actions. The health science is undergoing a paradigm shift and
holistic medicine is picking up in every part of the world. Mind and body
are slowly fused together and the treatments have to be given together
to stay healthy.
The OPEN HOUSE organised at the Indian Institute of World Culture, Bangalore, was a grand success and an awareness about the potential of Acupressure/Acupuncture was created. Many more people with diabetics have joined our research programme /camp.I request all of them to give their feed back every month with blood! urine test reports. We would like to prove by the end of this year that diabetes can be cured or atleast medication could be reduced drastically by adopting these simple, self-help techniques. The results of the Diabetic Camp are exhibited in our web Site (http://bhojraj.tripod.com) in PDF Format. This data will be updated every month as the results pour in. With best wishes

BACK
Dear Dr. Bhojraj, Namaste, This is a joint feed back from two of the participants in the Workshop conducted by you on 8th to 11th of June at the Indian Institute of World Culture. It is more an appreciation than a feed back, because yours was more a teaching course than a mere workshop. Since we belong to the teaching profession, we can claim to have a good sense of appreciating such a course of excellent quality. Swami
Harshananda in his foreword to your wonderful book on Acupressure, has
made reference to the gratitude you have earned from your patients. This
gratitude, we wish to remark, is of a rare kind, because the patient receives
a two pronged help; one, cure for the present ailment and second, knowledge
of how to cure by oneself. We are reminded of the old Chinese saying, “By
offering a fish to a hungry man, you solve his problem of the day; but
by teaching him how to fish, you solve his problem for the whole life.”

Within
a limited time available, you covered so efficiently; with such ease, much
more than what we had expected to learn. The course was informative, engaging,
instructive and fruitful and we mean every word. You really brought home
the truth that any disease is basically an imbalance and the resources
to restore the balance are already within, waiting to be tapped by the
right knowledge.
We
have some more things to say-but later.
Acupuncture gave great relief for Diabetics. Says Smt.

Unbelivable relief from severe back pain with Acupuncture. Says Rajesh
K R of Chennai
rajeshkr@pgcellular.com
I am working in RPG Cellular Services Ltd., in the marketing department and my job involves extensive travelling in my two wheeler. All of a sudden my back became very stiff with intense pain. It was unbearable and the X-ray confirmed it as a disc prOl)leln. I was given pain killers along with diathermic treatments but it did not give much relief. I was advised not to ride two-wheeler. The pain was unbearable that I was on a bug leave. During those torrid days,I was not in a position to sleep. Pain-killers and sprays were the order of the day but in vain. In the meantime I met another doctor who suspected it to be a thyroid problem and the test proved negative. My body weight also increased without much intake of food in this period. My aunt, who had undergone acupuncture treatment from Dr. J.Jayalakshmi advised me to meet her.Though I did not have much hope in the system, the first treatment relieved my back pain by 50-60% of the intensity. It was like a miracle cure for me. At last there was light at the end of tunnel. Her treatment was very effective that I am perfectly normal till date.I do my acupressure and pranayama on daily basis, trust me.I am performing a lot better in my job than before. Thanks to Dr.Jayalakshmi for her wonderful treatment.I will spread this system so that people are made aware of such wonderful cure with Acupuncture and Acupressure.I have started referring people with chronic problem to Dr.J.Jayalaksmi and the results are encouraging. Doctor's Comments:I did the body balancing and YIN Humidity reduction on first sittingand YIN Wind reduction on the second sitting. Dr.J.Jayalakshmi,Chennai ,could be contacted on Tel:91-044-8151832.

Headache and Vertigo (Dizziness)
(continued from the last issue)
III Case
Liver is under the control of Lungs. In a patient whose lung energy is deficient, the air does not permeate the lungs. So that the fluid in the interstices not being properly defused and transformed, becomes phlegm. The respiratory passages obstructed, there will be cough to bring out the phlegm and the appetite reduces. The accumulation of moisture and phlegm causes also dizziness and a feeling of obstruction in the area of the diaphragm.
In such a condition stimulating spleen to nourish cure for headache and dizziness.
I Case
Generally the weakness of spleen produces diarrhoea with associated symptoms of lack of appetite and thirst, the desire to pass stool after eating and a weakness of legs and hands. This type can be cured by tonifying the spleen.(See fig.above)
II Case
In this case, the predominant symptoms are uneasiness in the stomach, and slight abdominal pain. This type of diarrhoea can be controlled by tonifying heart to nourish spleen.

The

The gathering was of people from all walks of life and profession, including
practitioners of Allopathy and Homeopathy.
Try Acu techniques along with Medicines The meeting started with an invocation by followed by a brief introduction by Lion Sanjeev Gupta. He indicated the way the diabetic patients are being treated presently and the need to make people understand the long term implications of the allopathic method and the advantages of the drugless methods, the acupressure/acupuncture.He highlighted the cost factor of the medicines intake by the diabetic patients, the laboratory test charges, the specialist/consultation fee etc. and particularly the effect of medication like insulin on the juvenile diabetics. He emphasized the need to promote the adoption of acu techniques to overcome the effects and high cost of medication. He stressed the need for going in for a second opinion and alternate sources to treat ailments. He also highlighted the importance of participation and contribution by the people for this type of research since no multinational / industry houses (especially the drug manufacturers) wouldcome forward to support since these are DRUGLESS therapies. Reduce the Medication Dr. J. Jayalakshmi,a practicing Homoeopath &Acu-therapist from Chennai highlighted the importance of reducing medication for treating ailments and its importance in overcoming the effects of diabetics. She narrated the positive effects of drugless therapies and some of her own cases treated by acu-techniques. Feed back is very Important Shri. P Suresh, the Programme Coordinator, presented a brief background of the research and some highlights of the up to date results was presented by. He also highlighted the importance of receiving the feed back from those who have received the treatment which will be of great help to understand the effects of the treatments and build up of authenticated data base to prove scientifically the great advantages of these drugless therapies. Scientific Evidence Dr. Bhojraj, in his presentation, highlighted the very simple and easy acupressure techniques which can be practiced by every one by sparing just 10-15 minutes every day for their own health, both as a preventive as well as curative methods. The diabetes research programme would bring in a quantifiable and verifiable method to prove that acu-techniques are effective and reliable drugless therapies since the blood sugar levels can be measured and recorded. While such quantitative measurements will not be possible in cases of pain relief, stiffness relaxation, relief from head ache etc. Since the main object of the whole exercise is to bring in awareness of the advantages of drugless therapies among people at large, all the data that is generated in the diabetic camp / research programme is posted on the web site for every one to know the results. He appreciated the cooperation extended by all those enrolled in thediabetic camp and help ...continued
